Aileen Rodriguez has been undergoing home-based therapy since July 2009 up to the present under CBR programme in Eastern Samar, the Philippines. The village health worker, trained by Terre des Hommes Netherlands for rehabilitation skills, undergoes and supervises the therapy. Aileen and her parents were taught of the exercises she had to do every day. Slowly, her balance improved and from clutching onto the post for support so that she can be able to stand, she can now stand with the aid of a stick.
In Peru held the first national conference on Trafficking in Persons2012/10/17
With the premise that human trafficking in Latin America is a complex and dynamic problem with the objective of sharing knowledge, experiences and establish serious compromises between state organizations and civil society, attended by over 240 participants from 14 regions Peru, for the first time was held the First National Meeting on trafficking in persons.
Training on emergency thanks to Music For Relief2012/09/05
With the revenues of two concerts of Music for Relief, Terre des Hommes organized in Indonesia to five local partners a training on emergency aid and psychosocial support to children. Also 100 hygiene kits were distributed to families in Jakarta.

Although official figures lack, more and more children are forced to perform sexual acts in front of the webcam. The customers are mainly Western pedophiles. A 38-year-old sailing instructor who was convicted in the Netherlands in 2004 for sexual abuse of a minor boy was recently arrested in Cambodia on suspicion of similar offenses. Terre des Hommes’ partnerorganisation APLE contributed significantly in collecting evidence. A Dutch crime program reported about this case which has been watched by well over a million people. Terre des Hommes-director Albert Jaap van Santbrink was being interviewed and emphasized a stronger role of the Dutch government in the prosecution of Dutch pedophiles abroad.
