Health
All efforts in the overall health programme of Terre des Hommes Netherlands focus on:
- Improving the accessibility of preventive and curative health care
- Improving the accessibility of mother and child health care
- Lowering the child mortality rate
- Improving the availability of reproductive health care
- Facilitating trainings on primary health care and of medical staff
- Building the capacity of local community based health workers so as to increase accessibility of basic health services at community level
Terre des Hommes Netherlands targets mainly (pregnant & lactating) women and children that can use health services, the care being of good quality, accessible and available.
